Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care
The Level 4 Diploma in Adult Care sets out the minimum requirements for a qualification that develops and confirms the competence of those who work in a senior role with adults in an adult care setting.
The qualification recognises the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to manage complex situations found in Adult Care, to give advice and guidance to customers and service users of different care services, and is recognised by employers as conferring occupational competence at this level. It provides learners with guidance on effective communication, personal development, values and behaviours, health and wellbeing, responsibilities of self and others and safeguarding.
Now that you have completed this qualification you could progress on to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care
The Learner has achieved 70 credits. The Learner has demonstrated their knowledge, skills and behaviours achieving 36 credits of mandatory units, examples of which consist of:
- Communication in care settings
- Personal development in care settings
- Equality and inclusion in care settings
- Duty of care
- Safeguarding and protection in care settings
- Responsibilities of a care worker
- Implement person-centred approaches in care settings
- Health, safety, and wellbeing in care settings
- Handle information in care settings.
The additional 22+ credits achieved were chosen and tailored to the Learner job and where the areas of Continuing Professional Development was required.
